How to Order - CALCULATIONS

The calculations below will assist you in ordering the liner,
cover, bag or sheet best suited to your packaging needs.

BOX or CARTON LINERS

To calculate the size of an
Ungusseted Liner:

(L + W+ 2") X (H + W + 4")
(24+ 12+ 2") X (12 +12 + 4")

Ungusseted liner size will be 38" x 28"


To calculate the size of a
Gusseted Liner:

Length = (L + 1")
Width = (W + 1")
Height = (H+W+6")

Gussetted liner size will be 25" x 13" x 30"

** Note: Gusset measurement is calculated when the liner is opened completely.
Gusseted liners leave a small amount to be tied at the top of the carton.

PALLET COVERS

To calculate the size of an
Ungusseted liner:

(L + W+ 4") X (H + ½W + 6")
(50+ 48+ 4") X (48 + 24 + 6")

Ungussetted liner size will be 102" x 78"


To calculate the size of a
Gusseted Liner:

Length = (L + 2")
Width = (W + 2")
Height = (H+ ½ W+6")

Gussetted liner size will be 52" x 50" x 78"

DRUMLINER


To calculate the size of a
Drumliner

W = Diameter x (3.14 ÷ 2)
L= H + ( ½ Diameter) + 4"

W = 24 x (3.14 ÷ 2)
W = 37.68" (38")

L = 36+12+4
L=52"

Drumliner size would be 38" x 52"

** Note: This calculation will work for any round container


Carton Overwrap Sheets

To calculate sheeting to overwrap package:

L 11" W = W + H + 2"
L = L + H + 2"

H 2" W = 8.5 + 2 + 2"
L = 11 + 2 + 2"

Overwrap sheeting would be 12.5" x 15"
 

Weights and Measures Calculations

Poly Bags - (L x W x mil) ÷ 15 = Pound per 1000 bags

Poly Sheeting - (12 x L x mil) ÷ 2 = Pound per 1000ft

Poly Tubing - (12 x W x mil) ÷ 15 = Pound per 1000ft

Roll weight ÷ pound per 1000ft x 1000 = Length


(Weight x cost per pound) ÷ length = cost per foot
